First Response Training Academy was founded by a member of the United States Coast Auxiliary whom has the privilege of conducting CPR/AED & First Aid Training to the United States Military and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. The training center has expanded into the private sector and now provides training to students entering into health care programs, Nurses, EMS personnel, Lifeguards, Community Centers, and much more. HSI/ASHI, like the American Heart Association, ® Inc. (AHA), is a nationally accredited organization of the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS).
Florida Administrative Code 64J-1.022 states:
“(1) Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) courses which have been accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS) are defined as equivalent to CPR or ACLS courses conducted by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
ASHI’s BLS for the Healthcare Provider has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). We are also approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and much more!
First Aid:
Nationally recognized and conforms to the recommendations of the 2015 National First Aid Science Advisory Board and OSHA’s best practices for first aid training programs for the workplace. ASHI's First Aid program is approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Miami Dade County Code for Private School Bus Operators, and much more!
Bloodborne Pathogens:
ASHI's BBP program satisfies the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1920.1030). We are also approved by the Florida Board of Athletic Trainers, Florida Board of Acupuncture, Florida Board of Massage Therapy, and much more!
Emergency Medical Responder:
ASHI's 48 hour EMR program meets the requirements of the most current U.S. Department of Transportation National Standard Curriculum. Successful course completion allows the student to sit for the National Registry EMR exam (State of Florida.)
NRA Firearm Safety Courses:
Our NRA Basic Pistol course meets the requirements set forth by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to receive your Concealed Weapons or Firearm License.
